Choral Day October 5th 2019

Come and sing with us - Elgar's 'Dream of Gerontius' (excerpts)

We're doing something really quite special for our next Choral Day: an oppportunity to work though some of the choruses and solos of Elgar's 'Dream of Gerontius'.

A beautiful, demanding and rewarding work for chorus, soloists and orchestra.

Under the skilled direction of our musical director Peter Britton, we'll be joined by a full orchestra with soloists Andrew Yeats (Gerontius) and Jessica Lawrence-Hares (The Angel). If you attended our summer concert in 2017, you'll remember Jessica from Elgar's 'Music Makers'.

Enrolment is £20 - we'll provide a vocal score or you may prefer to bring your own if you have one.

We're offering a lunch of baked potato with salad and choice of fillings for an additional £5 (bookable in advance).

You're welcome to bring a packed lunch if you prefer; and there are lots of places in walking distance of the venue you can get lunch.

Drinks and nibbles will be available throughout the day.

Do join us if you can at Histon Baptist Church on October 5th for a really special choral workshop. Application forms can be downloaded from this page - see the link below.
