  • 2001
    • March: Masterclass for young singers conducted by Stephen Varcoe

      The singers, mostly under 18, received valuable advice on the performance of English Songs.

    • May: Choral Workshop conducted by Brian Kay.

      Intensive rehearsal of Handel's Zadok the Priest, The King Shall Rejoice, the Hallelujah Chorus, and excerpts from Mozart's Requiem, leading to an informal performance at the end of the day.

  • 2002
    • February: Sing with John Rutter

      This was an opportunity to get to know a variety of choral music from scratch. A light-hearted conducted tour through many different styles of 400 years of western music.

  • 2003
    • January: Choral Day conducted by David Hill:

      Some Bruckner Motets and a selection of Liebeslieder Walzer by Brahms were rehearsed in detail and sung with great pleasure at the end of each session.

    • June: Percussion Workshop for young people in connection with the choir's forthcoming performances of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana.

      This event was supported by a grant of £ 4500 from "Awards for All"

    • October: Can't sing, daren't sing?

      -- a workshop conducted by Jan Payne.

  • 2004
    • May: Choral Day, conducted by Bob Chilcott: at St Andrews Church, Histon.

      Selections from John Rutter's Mass of the Children, and Bob Chilcott's arrangement of Songs and Cries of London Town were rehearsed and sung, together with some of his anthems.

  • 2005
    • May: Come and Sing the Verdi Requiem, conducted by John Rutter.

      Around 250 people came to rehearse this great work and sing it with an 'ad-hoc' orchestra principals from several local orchestras, four professional soloists, Rachel Godsill (Soprano), Christine Botes (Alto), Michael McBride (Tenor) and Robert Rice (Bass), and accompanist Douglas Paine.

  • 2006
    • April 1st:

      Come and Sing: Credo from Bach's B Minor Mass conducted by Andrew Parnell. Over 100 people came to the Baptist Church, Histon, to rehearse this great work, and sing it at the end of the day with soloists Kate Woolf (Soprano), Abigail Boreham (Alto) Richard Hooper (Bass) and the Cambridge Orchestra.
